It's once again election time in Nederland, TX. Three candidates are vying for the mayoral seat but only one will pull it out. The question is who will the citizens vote for?

Current Mayor Dick Nugent:
28 year councilman
2 year mayor
Dick Nugent says that he believes that the city has “made headway”. With an addition of a new 120 Unit apartment complex located on Nederland Avenue and a hotel that will be opening soon he believes that the city is making progress.

Challenger Mike Lovelady:
The former fire chief of 24 years within the City of Nederland, Mr Lovelady believes that “we need to repair Nederland for the future”. www.mikelovelady.org

Challenger Michael Borderlon:
In a recent published article, Mr. Borderlon stated that his main reason for running is for a change in what he calls “the same politics”.

All three men are running for the position of Mayor in Nederland. I wish each candidate the best of luck and may the best candidate win!

Voting Information:
Early voting began last Monday and run until May 9 at City hall located on Boston Avenue between 8am and 5pm. On May 9 the poll hours will be extended from 7am till 7pm. Election day is this Saturday and you can vote at City Hall.
