PN-G board hears employee complaint

On Tuesday, January 22 the Port Neches Groves ISD heard a complaint from Margie Wilkinson, a teacher at Port Neches-Groves High School.

She brought up several complaints:

a hostile work environment
spoke of a course that switched format
budgeted money used for other purposes
stress from being the butt of jokes

Please read the story here

My comments to the Board:
You must change the "15 day policy". The issue goes way beyond the policy. The issue is work ethic. If the school board can't stand behind their teachers and look beyond a policy, we have a problem.

I attend this meeting. Someone asked was I shocked at the outcome? I responded, "No".
We live in a sad day and age. Most elected leaders on school boards and city councils never ever vote with their "gut". They usually go with the flow of things.

Nothing suprises me anymore in Southeast Texas.
