Ortiz - Let's spend some time on this one. Jeff, the first problem is that you are not a property owner. That is a problem with you wanting to run for office. It is kind of important. The second problem is that you did not show them vision - just a Gadfly type operation. Problems yes - solutions they did not hear. Third - you were third. Fourth - well how can we say this nicely - you sound like an angry little boy. Stay cool, buy some property, run for office, and be a leader. Nederland is getting ready for a huge leadership vacuum. Let me address the four problems that were addressed in tidbits.

1. the first problem is that you are not a property owner. That is a problem with you wanting to run for office. It is kind of important.

That is not a problem. It was ruled unconstitional for that to be held against a citizen running for office. I will not buy property in Nederland until the current leaders build for the future. The council waste too much money. The only good thing this city has are the schools

2. second problem is that you did not show them vision - just a Gadfly type operation. Problems yes - solutions they did not hear.

You have got to be kidding. I didn't show vision? Huh? Where have you been? Did you know read my vision from the 2005/ 2007 campaign? I have always had a solution to the problems that I spoke about.

3. Third - you were third.

Okay and? Mr. Dykes was second. The point is?

An angry little boy? Hello. It was reported that the city speant an estimated $15,000 dollars on an election that didn't matter. That doesn't bother anyone? A waste of money and no one cares. A huge leadership vacuum? Probably not. It'll be the same system just different people. No change.

As I have said, what was done was WRONG! End of story.
