Never, Never Again

Late yesterday, Republican presidential candidate John McCain visited the Lower 9Th Ward in New Orleans where he told reporters that if the disaster had happened on his watch, he would have immediately landed at the nearest Air Force base.

That's a sharp criticism of how President Bush handled a "perfect storm" [Hurricane Katrina].

McCain stated, "Never again, never again, will a disaster of this nature be handled in the disgraceful way it was handled". {What a blow to local, state and federal officials}

Senator McCain is campaigning in what he calls forgotten areas of the country.

Let's see if McCain comes to the area where the forgotten hurricane came through. Doubtful.
