An interesting article on what the students think of the new dress code.
Some quotes of interest:
I’m more into voting,” he said. “This decision is not affecting teachers or parents so they should have let students decide. If the majority wants dress code, then by all means, there should be a dress code.”
They should start the younger kids with dress code because there shouldn’t be as many problems with it. Little kids don’t care what they wear and the longer it takes (for them to get used to it), the more stable it will be,” he said.
“Some will rebel,” he said of his classmates. “I don’t plan on showing up to school on the first day next year in dress code. There’s just no real point to it. They’re doing something that’s not needed to be done.”
Dustin Scoggin, a junior, agrees with Schulze and feels the dress code takes away from the enjoyment of his senior year.
“Seniors should get the privilege to wear what they want,” he said. “If they abuse that privilege, then it should be taken away.”
Scoggin said it’s unfair for the school to make seniors purchase dress code clothing that they will only have to wear for one more year.
