Port Arthur Councilman Declared Ineligible To Run For Commissioner

KBTV 4 is reporting that Port Arthur councilman Michael Sinegal has been removed from the March primary ballot in the Democratic race for Jefferson County Commissioner, Precinct 3.

Mr. Senegal told KBTV 4 that he considers this decision a betrayal by the Democratic Party, but he says, "I'm a big boy, and if the only option I have is to run as an Independent, I'll run as an Independent."

One question, how is it a betrayal of the Democratic party when it's the fault of the candidate? Just curious.
