PANEWS: Council votes to continue First Friday funding

Earlier last week, the Groves City Council chose to continue to fund "First Friday". I support this type of funding and believe that it is needed to support our local businesses.

Groves City Council members agreed that First Friday in Groves has drawn the community into the downtown area to promote business and camaraderie.

After discussion at Monday’s meeting, they also agreed to continue funding the monthly event with hotel occupancy tax revenues, not to exceed $600 a month.
