PANEWS: Nederland looking to Dallas firm to assist in city manager search

Tonight, the Port Arthur News is reporting that the Nederland City Council will meet this coming Friday to possibly name an interim City Manager and to consider employing The Waters Consulting Group, Inc., a Dallas-based human resources search firm for $19,500.

I feel very comfortable with the pace that the council will be taking to seek a qualified individual to replace Mr. Wimer.

Mr. Wimer has done an implacable job as manager for over the past 13 years of service to our community. Must of you who read my blog do not understand how much work this man has done. Back in 2005, as a candidate for City Council, Mr. Wimer took some time to speak to me about the roads in Nederland and other issues that I felt strong about. He could of said he was busy but chose to spend a few minutes of his time with me. I've learned alot about the programs implemented in our city from Mr. Wimer.

The City of Port Neches is getting not only a great person but a wonderful manager.

I wish him all the best.
